Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Moraes!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carson Walker!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Moraes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walker tries a head kick but it misses.
Moraes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Walker misses with a wild combination.
Walker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Moraes misses with a double jab.
Walker is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moraes.
Walker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Moraes checks the leg kick nicely there.
A left and a right from Walker both land. Nice combination.

Moraes throws a series of strikes that have Walker backpedaling.

Walker misses with the combination.
A low kick from Moraes is predictable there
and Walker counters with a left and a right that stings Moraes.
Walker throws a good cross that connects.
Some wild striking there from Walker.
Moraes throwing a counter right hand but Walker manages to avoid it.

Walker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walker wants it to stay on the feet.

Walker lands a left and a right that send Moraes crashing to the mat, dazed. Walker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Moraes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Walker to keep the fight standing.

Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moraes circles away quickly and effectively.
Moraes shoots in but Walker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moraes is breathing heavily.
Walker tries a head kick but it misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Walker.
Walker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moraes tries to clinch there but Walker circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Walker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Moraes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Walker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Moraes.

Moraes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Moraes manages to end up in side control.
Walker avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Moraes.
Walker is not content to let Moraes control the position.
Walker misses with a strike from the bottom.
Moraes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moraes is trying to get an arm triangle but Walker is defending well.

Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moraes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker is desperately trying to improve his position but Moraes has a good base and remains in mount.

Moraes tries to break the clinch but Walker is controlling the position.
Walker digs a right hand underneath Moraes's ribcage. Moraes let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Moraes tries to pull guard but Walker won't allow it.
Walker creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Moraes prevents Walker from breaking the clinch.
Moraes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Walker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Moraes swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
