Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Hofstadter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cadan Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadan Ness is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Hofstadter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cadan Ness!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Hofstadter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ness lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've been informed that Ness has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ness lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A combination from Ness does no damage.
Cadan Ness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ness throws a hook but Hofstadter avoids it easily.
Ness misses with a combination

and Hofstadter counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hofstadter tries to free his leg and advance position but Ness is retaining full guard.
Hofstadter has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Hofstadter wants to control from the top but Ness keeps moving.
Hofstadter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hofstadter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hofstadter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hofstadter stays in close to Ness's body and controls the position.
Hofstadter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ness keeping moving, preventing Hofstadter from controlling successfully.
Hofstadter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hofstadter takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hofstadter looks to land a left hand but Ness moved out of range nicely.
A jab from Ness does it's job there.
Ness lands a jab to the nose.
Hofstadter finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Ness's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Hofstadter falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cadan Ness!
A very excited looking Cadan Ness made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
