Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Judah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Judah forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Jones tries for a takedown but Judah manages to get underhooks.
Jones wants a takedown.
Jones takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Paul Jones has been cut.
Judah misses with a body punch.
Jones has Judah pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Judah manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
David Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Jones.
Judah doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Judah scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Judah throws a big shot that misses.
Judah looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Judah takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Judah takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Judah lands a nice looking body shot.
Judah tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Judah.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paul Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Judah scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Judah in a clinch.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Judah.
Jones blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Judah prevents the takedown attempt.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Judah pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.
Judah is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Judah slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Judah is one step ahead there.

Judah preventing the sweep.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Judah can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Judah wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Judah is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Judah's head.
Judah is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Judah defending well though.
Judah blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Judah regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jones.
Jones trying to control but Judah is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Judah dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jones closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Judah is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Judah's guard.
Paul Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jones sitting in guard here, content to control.
Judah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Judah is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is pushing down on Judah's leg trying to pass to half guard. Judah is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.
Judah is trying to control but can't.
Jones trying to pass the guard but Judah defending well.
Jones thows a huge punch but Judah dodges it nicely.

Jones lands with a punch from half guard.
Jones wants to take a breather but Judah is having none of it.
Judah has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jones not doing much here.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Judah to regain full guard.
Jones trying to control but Judah is working from the bottom.

Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Judah looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Judah looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Judah!

Judah controls the position from side control.
Jones is looking to reverse the position.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Judah working away.
Judah is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jones's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Judah off and has taken his back!
Jones throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Judah has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Jones missing with strikes.

Jones is persistently looking for the submission but Judah is defending it well.
Jones misses with an elbow to the head.
Judah trying to control the action but Jones just sinks the hooks in.
Jones is looking to control Judah but Judah is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Jones thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Jones struggling to keep hold of the position.

Jones working for the choke.
Jones missing with strikes.
Jones throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Will Jones go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Paul Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Judah has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Judah and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Judah gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Judah.
Jones is trying to drag Judah to the mat but Judah just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Judah prevents the takedown attempt.
Judah lands an elbow just above Jones 's eye.
Judah fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Judah pulls him back up using the underhooks.
David Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Jones.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Judah gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Judah after a bit of a struggle.
Judah lands with a short shot to the head.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Judah lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Judah lands a damaging elbow.
Judah scores with a nice hook to the head.


The cut above Paul Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Judah lands with a right to the head.


Jones is rocked!
Judah gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Judah finish him?
I was talking to Judah's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Still in the clinch, Judah scores with a nice short uppercut.
Judah pushes Jones against the cage. Judah is working some dirty boxing. Judah pushes off with a quick right hook! Jones goes down! Jones tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Judah moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Judah!
David Judah decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
