Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Leer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kothciushco closes the distance and clinches.

Leer has picked Kothciushco up - he's going for a ride! Leer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kothciushco tries to kick Leer off but Leer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Leer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kothciushco pushes Leer off looking to stand but Leer dives back in and keeps control.

Leer is working for a kimura but Kothciushco is defending it quite comfortably.

Leer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kothciushco sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leer is trying to control the action in half guard but Kothciushco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kothciushco works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kothciushco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Leer is fighting to break Kothciushco's control of his arms but Kothciushco is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Leer trying to control the position from guard on top but Kothciushco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kothciushco is looking to stand up but Leer isn't so interested in that idea.
Leer postures up in Kothciushco's guard and throws a big left but Kothciushco blocks it.

Kothciushco tries to bum rush Leer with a series of wild strikes but Leer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kothciushco tries to throw a body punch but Leer avoids it by throwing Kothciushco back against the cage.

Kothciushco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kothciushco is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Leer is defending well for now.
Kothciushco lands a nice shot to the body.

Leer avoiding damage as Kothciushco throws knees to the body.
Kothciushco is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Kothciushco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kothciushco lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kothciushco lands with an overhand left.

Kothciushco throws a one two combo.


It looks like Mike Leer has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kothciushco lands a big right hand that sends Leer crashing to the mat! Kothciushco stays standing though and waves Leer back to his feet!


Leer is rocked!
Leer drops his hands momentarily and Kothciushco needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Leer just on the top of the head. Leer drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Leer - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Krzysztof Kothciushco!
