Belmont is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by N.W.A - Appetite For Destruction. Belmont has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Lukacz Belmont has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez connects with a leg kick. Belmont looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gomez swinging wildly here.
Belmont scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gomez doesn't seem bothered though.
Gomez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Belmont's head.
Gomez rushes Belmont and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gomez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Belmont has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice uppercut lands for Gomez. That snapped Belmont's head back.
