Gracie drives through with a takedown into Maria's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gracie has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Maria should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Maria gets caught napping as Gracie dives in and scores a takedown. Maria manages to retain guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Gracie gets to his feet. Maria looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Saint Maria is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Maria wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away.

Gracie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gracie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Maria is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Maria for as long as he can get away with.
