Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonqw Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Vellucci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Vellucci has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leo Vellucci! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Vellucci misses the target. Fray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Fray blocks a jab. Fray checks a leg kick. Vellucci is looking to land body kicks. Fray waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vellucci. Vellucci lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Vellucci dips to his left and cracks Fray with an uppercut! Vellucci tries to work over Fray's front leg with a kick but Fray checks it. Good work by Fray as he checks the leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Vellucci. No joy for Fray on that attempt. Vellucci takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Fray swings for the body but Vellucci moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vellucci bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Fray throws out a loose jab but Vellucci uses good head movement to avoid it. Vellucci takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fray chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Vellucci cracks Fray with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fray shoots in for a takedown but Vellucci shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vellucci has Fray up against the cage in a clinch.
Fray is trying to pull guard but Vellucci turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonqw Fray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fray drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vellucci pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fray throws a low kick but Vellucci avoids it. Fray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vellucci manages to avoid it. Vellucci keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fray takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fray feinted with a counter takedown. Vellucci looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fray throws a leg kick but Vellucci sees it coming and moves out of range. A big right from Fray misses. A chopping leg kick lands by Fray. Fray throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vellucci sees it coming and avoids it easily. Vellucci moves into the clinch. Vellucci taking a breather. Fray goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vellucci prevents it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fray throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Vellucci blocks it with crossed arms. Fray has clasped his hands together around Vellucci's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Vellucci manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fray's best efforts. Vellucci is trying to stand up here but Fray is controlling him well. Fray not doing much here.

Fray is just content to waste time from the top position. Vellucci takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vellucci swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fray has gone for a leg lock! Vellucci slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fray's guard. Fray is striking but Vellucci is not phased and passes to half guard. Vellucci decides to return to a standing position. Vellucci ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Fray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vellucci.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fray looks to score with a jab to the body but Vellucci is just out of range. Vellucci slaps away a takedown attempt from Fray, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vellucci connects with a right hand. Fray shakes it off.
It looks like Jonqw Fray has been cut. Vellucci tries to land a front kick but Fray steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Fray half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fray fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Fray blocks a low kick nicely. Vellucci throws a body kick that misses. Fray fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vellucci is out of range. Vellucci displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fray throws out the jab. Fray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Vellucci feints and then cracks Fray's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fray down. Vellucci misses with a leg kick. Fray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vellucci swivels and escapes. Fray avoids a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Leo Vellucci will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jonqw Fray's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Vellucci. Vellucci uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fray. Fray misses the shot to the body. Fray tries to bum rush Vellucci with a series of wild strikes but Vellucci uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vellucci tries to clinch but Fray is having none of it. Good work by Fray as he checks the leg kick. Fray attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Fray jabs Vellucci to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fray stuns Vellucci with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Fray pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vellucci fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fray. Vellucci checks a leg kick. Vellucci tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fray paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vellucci is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Vellucci gets caught napping as Fray dives in and scores a takedown. Vellucci manages to retain guard. Fray slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fray wants to control from the top but Vellucci keeps moving. Fray being controlled here momentarily. Fray trying to control but Vellucci is working from the bottom. Vellucci can't keep his opponent in guard - Fray advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Vellucci wants to get back to his feet.
Vellucci is in trouble now - Fray has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vellucci wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Fray trying to control but Vellucci is having none of it. Vellucci defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fray. Fray takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Vellucci is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fray moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Vellucci has worked his arm free - good work by Vellucci!
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fray takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Vellucci scores with a nice strike. Vellucci misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vellucci missing with a left hand there. Fray was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Vellucci on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Vellucci throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Leo Vellucci is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vellucci closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Fray misses with a low kick.

Fray fails with a takedown attempt. Vellucci lands with a shot to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vellucci has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fray. Vellucci waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fray. A left lands for Fray. Leo Vellucci seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fray takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fray shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fray wants to control from the top but Vellucci keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonqw Fray dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jonqw Fray's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

A punch combination from Vellucci misses. A slapping leg kick lands for Fray.

Vellucci tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fray paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vellucci displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fray throws out the jab. Vellucci only half commits to the counter leg kick. Vellucci controlling from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vellucci accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fray is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vellucci is aware though and is defending well. Fray looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fray escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vellucci gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fray is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vellucci has his hands clasped together but Fray extends and breaks Vellucci's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Fray.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jonqw Fray! Jonqw Fray took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'You were saying Mon Ami.'.
