The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Johnson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by Johnson.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Williams's waist but Williams gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. Williams looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
