Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dill Frankson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noel Diaz! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frankson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Frankson walks into a left hand. Frankson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diaz throws out the jab. Frankson shoots in and gets a takedown into Diaz's guard. Frankson trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Frankson defends well. Frankson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Frankson wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frankson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. Frankson is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Diaz can't keep his opponent in guard - Frankson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Frankson is working for a kimura but Diaz is defending it quite comfortably.
Frankson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Frankson. Diaz trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Frankson is working for a kimura but Diaz is defending it quite comfortably.
Frankson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Frankson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frankson is breathing heavily. Frankson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well. Diaz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Diaz wants to control but Frankson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Frankson prevents Diaz from improving his position. Diaz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diaz. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Frankson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Diaz is trying to control Frankson's posture but Frankson avoids it. Frankson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dill Frankson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Diaz dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Frankson with a poor takedown letting Diaz counter with a right hand. Frankson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Frankson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diaz has managed to free his arm - good work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frankson is just content to waste time from the top position. Diaz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Frankson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Diaz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Diaz has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Frankson keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Frankson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Diaz passes easily into side control. Nice work. Frankson is trying to improve his position. Dill Frankson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Diaz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Frankson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Diaz cranks the arm and Frankson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Frankson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Noel Diaz!
