Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malcom Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Kweli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gavin Kweli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malcom Brennan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gavin Kweli!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kweli closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brennan's guard.
Brennan keeping moving, preventing Kweli from controlling successfully.
Kweli wants to pass the guard but Brennan is keeping the position.

Kweli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brennan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kweli has managed to get both his arms back between Brennan's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kweli tries to free his leg and advance position but Brennan is retaining full guard.

Brennan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kweli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brennan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Brennan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brennan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brennan shoots for a takedown but Kweli saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brennan.

Kweli closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brennan did well to prevent Kweli getting side control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Brennan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kweli wanted to stand there but Brennan had control of the position.

Brennan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kweli is aware though and is defending well.

Brennan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kweli is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brennan.

Brennan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Kweli has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Brennan!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kweli jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brennan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brennan and Kweli has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Brennan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Brennan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kweli's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kweli's back!

Brennan lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Brennan.
Kweli is covering up but some of the strikes from Brennan are getting through and doing damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brennan slips a nice elbow through Kweli's hands, connecting with Kweli's forehead.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kweli can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kweli avoids the head kick by Brennan.

Kweli shoots in and bounces Brennan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Brennan has his feet on Kweli's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Brennan shoots in and drives through. Kweli sprawls well.

Brennan throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Malcom Brennan showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Brennan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
