The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Schultze has Steele pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Schultze pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Steele tumbling to the mat - Schultze dives into Steele's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Steele manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Steele really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Steele is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schultze is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Steele to the mat. Steele regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Schultze defends it easily.

Schultze keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Steele's head.

Schultze drops back, looking for a kneebar! Steele looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Steele looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Steele!
Schultze manages to work his way to half guard, despite Steele's best efforts.

Schultze has one foot on Steele's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Schultze closes the distance and pushes Steele back into the cage.

Schultze has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Steele regains guard immediately.

Schultze lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Steele quite badly. Steele pulls Schultze in close trying to recover. Schultze postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Steele on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Steele doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
