Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimura comes to the cage accompanied by Seek and Destroy . Joe Kimura could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Desmond Hume's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Hume! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hume displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kimura throws out the jab. Hume has Kimura up against the cage in a clinch.
Hume lands a knee to the head.
Kimura has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kimura drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hume pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kimura shoots and misses and Hume counters with a head kick. Hume throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kimura wants to clinch. Kimura throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hume sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kimura tries to close the distance and clinch but Hume swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hume clinches. Hume is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kimura has Hume pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hume manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hume prevents the takedown attempt.
Hume lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kimura goes for a takedown attempt but Hume pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimura tries to clinch but Hume moves out of range. Kimura scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Desmond Hume has been cut. Kimura tries to clinch but fails miserably and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kimura takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Joe Kimura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kimura shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hume manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kimura stopping the sweep attempt from Hume. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hume can do anything to dispel that myth. Kimura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kimura is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hume is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hume has escaped and now he's on top!
Kimura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hume can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hume not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimura working for a triangle but Hume defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kimura is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kimura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hume defends well. Hume avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hume's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kimura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hume can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hume wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hume makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kimura throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kimura has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hume doesn't defend quickly enough and Kimura has managed to lock this one up! Can Hume escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kimura on a fantastic submission victory.
