Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Zimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zimmer moves away.
As Souza backs off Zimmer throws a huge counter combo but Souza manages to avoid it all.

Zimmer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Souza manages to get back to half guard.
Souza is trying to control but can't.
Souza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zimmer scores with a couple of nice shots.
Zimmer is nestled in close to Souza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zimmer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Zimmer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Souza could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Zimmer postures up.
Zimmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zimmer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Zimmer doesn't defend quickly enough and Souza has managed to lock this one up! Can Zimmer escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Souza on a fantastic submission victory.
