Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyfan Lan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mcgowan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lan dives in for a single leg takedown but Mcgowan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Boyd Mcgowan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyfan Lan.
Lan throws a right and a left that Mcgowan avoids nicely.
Mcgowan is looking for a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lan wants to break free but Mcgowan has control.
Mcgowan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mcgowan tries to clinch but Lan moves out of range.
Lan shoots in for a takedown but Mcgowan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyfan Lan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcgowan appears to be looking for a big counter.

Mcgowan is looking to clinch but Lan is avoiding it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lan.
Lan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcgowan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lan is posturing up here but Mcgowan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Lan tries to roll out but it's too tight and Lan has to tap! Slick submission there by Mcgowan!
