Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, DJ Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Noel Doyle! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaw's waist but Shaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doyle off to one side. Doyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shaw manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shaw slaps away a takedown attempt from Doyle, before circling back to the center of the mat. Shaw is looking to counter with head kicks. Shaw looking to score a takedown here. Doyle is defending well but Shaw drives through and ends up in Doyle's guard. Doyle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Shaw dives into side control.
Doyle struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw staying calm. Doyle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Shaw perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Doyle is trying to get back to full guard. Shaw content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Shaw trying to mount his opponent but Doyle defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Doyle trying to control but Shaw postures up.
Shaw slips a nice elbow through Doyle's hands, connecting with Doyle's forehead. Shaw trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shaw is working away from the top position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Doyle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Doyle somewhat. DJ Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noel Doyle. Doyle shoots in for a takedown but Shaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Doyle slaps away a takedown attempt from Shaw, before circling back to the center of the mat. Doyle tries to clinch but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shaw darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shaw is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Doyle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shaw. Shaw with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shaw is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doyle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shaw as he jumps to the side. Doyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Doyle tries to clinch and Shaw decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Doyle's guard. Shaw distracts Doyle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Doyle controls Shaw momentarily but Shaw frees himself. Shaw is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle is trying to control the position but Shaw postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shaw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Shaw wants to pass the guard but Doyle is keeping the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Shaw wants to stand but Doyle is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Doyle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shaw sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. DJ Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noel Doyle. Doyle misses with a takedown and Shaw counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Shaw slows the pace down in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Further stalling from Shaw. Shaw is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doyle landing small, sideways elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shaw is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Doyle reverses the position - he's now on top in Shaw's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Doyle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doyle has managed to get both his arms back between Shaw's legs - danger averted. Doyle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Doyle tries to clinch but Shaw moves away so Shaw counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Shaw controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shaw wants to pass the guard but Doyle is keeping the position. Shaw stays in close to Doyle's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shaw wants to get up but he can't break Doyle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Doyle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Doyle goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward. Shaw feints and as Doyle raises his hands in defense, Shaw changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Doyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shaw's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Doyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Doyle looking to control.

Shaw pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doyle is keeping the position for now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Doyle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shaw is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Doyle doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaw circles away.

DJ Shaw is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Doyle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
And that's the end of the fight! DJ Shaw showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
