Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Rae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maciej Grominski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Rae! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Maciej Grominski! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rae with a poor takedown and Grominski counters with a left and a right that stings Rae. Rae doesn't manage to clinch there - Grominski circles away.
Grominski darts in and clinches Rae up against the cage. Rae manages to break the clinch.
Rae misses with a takedown attempt and Grominski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Grominski - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Grominski decides to pull guard. Rae being controlled here momentarily. Rae tries to free his leg and advance position but Grominski is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grominski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grominski wants to get back to his feet but Rae is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Grominski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rae. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rae stands up from Grominski's guard - Rae perhaps looking for a knockout. Grominski moves into range and clinches up with Rae. Grominski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rae can't fight it off and eventually Grominski manages to take the fight to the floor. Rae looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rae trying to control the position here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Grominski controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rae trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Rae lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Grominski is looking to stand up but Rae isn't so interested in that idea. Rae gets to his feet - Grominski follows without any prompting. Grominski stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Rae. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grominski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Grominski stuffs the takedown. Grominski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rae tries to avoid it but Grominski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rae to the ground. Rae escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Grominski misses with a jab, cross combination.

Grominski tries to counter by closing the distance. Grominski shoots in and drives through. Rae sprawls well. Rae displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grominski. Grominski looks winded! Rae fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Grominski avoids it really well and circles away.

Rae is looking to counter punch. Rae throws a head kick but Grominski moves out of range.
Rae tries to clinch but Grominski is having none of it. Rae shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grominski defends it nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rae tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grominski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grominski only half commits to the counter leg kick. Grominski digs a good body shot into Rae's ribs. Grominski shoots in but Rae avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grominski shoots in looking for a takedown. Rae tries to sprawl out of it but Grominski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rae manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Grominski has managed to clinch.

Grominski tries to score a body lock takedown but Rae shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rae pushes off an throws an elbow but Grominski leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Rae prevents Grominski from breaking the clinch. Grominski tries to work over Rae's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Grominski gets underhooks to prevent Rae's takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Grominski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The referee calls for Grominski to work.
Rae gets control of Grominski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rae will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Grominski trying to control but Rae is working from the bottom. Rae is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Grominski's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grominski trying to control the position from guard on top but Rae is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rae wants to get back to his feet but Grominski is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Maciej Grominski will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Grominski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rae swivels and escapes. Grominski rushes Rae and presses him up against the cage. Rae tries to stall but Grominski uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Grominski pulls guard effortlessly. Rae won't allow Grominski to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rae pushing down on Grominski's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Rae wants to control but Grominski is keeping him busy. Rae is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grominski wants to control but Rae is having none of it. Rae working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rae unloading with bombs! Grominski is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rae looking to control but Grominski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rae gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Rae shoots and misses and Grominski counters with a three punch combo that has Rae backing up. Rae nods at Grominski to acknowledge the strikes. Rae shoots in for a takedown but Grominski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Grominski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rae won't allow Grominski to sweep him here. Rae lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rae stops Grominski from standing up. Rae wants to control from the top but Grominski keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grominski can do anything to dispel that myth. Rae is really struggling to control Grominski but he's trying to hold on to the position. Rae is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Grominski swinging wildly here.
Grominski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grominski. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grominski. Rae tries for a takedown but Grominski circles away easily and Grominski counters with a series of strikes. Rae will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Rae. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grominski takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Maciej Grominski has been cut. Rae takes a shot to the body in his stride.
