Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Skoge Vedhult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamad has chosen The Joker as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Juan Tamad is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Skoge Vedhult! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 23 - 1, fighting out of London, Juan Tamad! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Tamad as Vedhult shoots in. Tamad throws out a counter right but Vedhult avoids it with no problem. Vedhult fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tamad stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tamad wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skoge Vedhult. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vedhult shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tamad napping and manages to drive through into side control! Vedhult working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Tamad is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vedhult controlling from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vedhult is looking to take a break and control but Tamad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vedhult goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tamad rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vedhult's guard! Nice work there by Tamad! Tamad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vedhult works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vedhult keeping moving, preventing Tamad from controlling successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Tamad throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Skoge Vedhult seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tamad rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vedhult moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tamad has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Tamad throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Tamad throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vedhult counters with a shoot takedown. Tamad fights it but they end up in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vedhult is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Vedhult trying to control but Tamad is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tamad is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tamad just misses with a punch to the body.
Tamad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vedhult swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vedhult shoots in but Tamad avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tamad drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vedhult defends it well. Vedhult looks for a takedown but Tamad sprawls well. Tamad lands with a good body shot. Vedhult closes the distance and clinches up with Tamad, looking for a takedown. Vedhult pushes Tamad against the cage but Tamad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tamad stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tamad wants it to stay on the feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tamad! But no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tamad throws a head kick that misses. Vedhult changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Tamad misses with a two punch combination.
Vedhult tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tamad defends well and Vedhult ends up having to push Tamad into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tamad connects with a leg kick. Vedhult looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Vedhult shoots in but no luck this time. Tamad's corner calls for a 1-2. Tamad obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Vedhult tries for a takedown but Tamad sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. It seemed like Tamad was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A shot to the body from Vedhult misses and Tamad counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Skoge Vedhult has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vedhult misses with a hook. It seemed like Tamad was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. No joy there for Tamad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Tamad dominated that round. The cut man is working on Skoge Vedhult's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tamad clinches. Vedhult pulls Tamad into guard.
Tamad landing some decent shots from guard. Vedhult is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tamad accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vedhult has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tamad can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vedhult had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tamad defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vedhult looking for a guillotine here but Tamad defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamad sitting in guard, not really doing much. Vedhult has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tamad can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tamad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vedhult swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vedhult working a defensive guard here.
Vedhult is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vedhult controls Tamad momentarily but Tamad frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tamad working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vedhult's head. Vedhult isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tamad stacks Vedhult on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tamad! Tamad working away. Tamad throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Tamad working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tamad misses the shot to the body. Vedhult drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tamad sprawls and moves away. Vedhult shoots in for a takedown but Tamad shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tamad swings for the body but Vedhult moves out of range.

Vedhult pushes Tamad against the cage but Tamad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It seemed like Tamad was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Tamad finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Vedhult feinted with a counter takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vedhult. Tamad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vedhult moves away. Vedhult changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A slow jab from Vedhult misses its intended target. Tamad swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tamad misses with a hook. Vedhult ducked under it nicely. Vedhult bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tamad's head backwards. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tamad moves into the clinch. Tamad tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vedhult's elbow. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Vedhult takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Tamad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Skoge Vedhult's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tamad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. It seemed like Tamad was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Vedhult shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tamad counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skoge Vedhult. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tamad swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tamad keeping moving, preventing Vedhult from controlling successfully. Tamad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Vedhult looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Skoge Vedhult overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tamad wants to control but Vedhult is keeping him busy.

Vedhult appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Vedhult looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vedhult shoots in but no luck this time. Tamad drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vedhult defends it well. Tamad throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Tamad uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vedhult. Vedhult is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tamad. Vedhult takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Juan Tamad seems to be getting the better of the standup. Vedhult looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tamad is fending him off so far but Vedhult persists. Nope, Tamad circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamad dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vedhult. That did some damage! Tamad lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Tamad moves into range and clinches up with Vedhult. Tamad misses with a hook to the ribs.

A shot in the inside from Tamad. Tamad scores with an uppercut up the middle. A battle for position here, against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Tamad.
Skoge Vedhult's cut is getting worse. Tamad lands a body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tamad lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vedhult backwards. A short right from Tamad. Tamad lands a shoulder strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tamad blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tamad presses Vedhult against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Vedhult is trying to maintain a safe position but Tamad gets an underhook and turns Vedhult into the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Tamad. Tamad lands with a short head shot on the inside. Juan Tamad is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Vedhult is rocked! Tamad can't find room to land a body shot as Vedhult controls the action.
Oh Vedhult is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tamad lands with a short shot to the head. Vedhult changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tamad fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tamad has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tamad lands with a good body shot. Vedhult misses with a body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! Juan Tamad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tamad winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
