Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Allison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petr Smirnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim Allison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Smirnov! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smirnov gets a clinch. Smirnov working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A head punch blocked on the inside by Smirnov. Allison has had enough of the clinch but Smirnov keeps him there for the moment. Allison is trying to pull guard but Smirnov has him pressed against the cage. Allison misses with some punches.
Smirnov is defending well against a takedown attempt. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Allison breaks from the clinch.
Smirnov closes the distance and clinches. Allison manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smirnov rushes Allison and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Smirnov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Allison jumps guard but Smirnov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Allison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smirnov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Allison just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Allison is trying to maintain the position but Smirnov is very close to passing his half guard. Smirnov trying to control the pace. Smirnov tries to stand and escape but Allison is controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Smirnov shoots in looking for a takedown but Allison manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smirnov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Allison tries to counter with a takedown but Smirnov is quick to defend against it. Allison slaps away a takedown attempt from Smirnov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Allison tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Smirnov manages to circle out of the way. Smirnov looks winded! Allison tries to keep at a distance but Smirnov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Allison could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Allison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Smirnov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Allison is landing a low percentage of strikes. Allison has closed the distance and engaged Smirnov in a clinch.
Allison is trying to break free. Smirnov tries to circle away but Allison has him pinned against the cage. Smirnov is pushing Allison up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Allison has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Allison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Allison swings wildly with an uppercut but Smirnov uses good head movement to avoid it. Allison dodges an elbow strike from Smirnov.
Allison lands an elbow inside that Smirnov shrugs off. Smirnov lands with a left to the head. Allison is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Smirnov can't fight it off and eventually Allison manages to take the fight to the floor. Smirnov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smirnov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Allison defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jim Allison will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Allison scores with a head kick. Smirnov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Smirnov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Allison counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Smirnov goes for a double leg but Allison avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Allison continues to drive forward. Smirnov tries for a takedown but Allison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Allison wants to clinch. Allison lands a head kick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smirnov with a poor takedown and Allison counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Smirnov is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jim Allison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smirnov gets a clinch. Allison tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smirnov just stands there and leans against the cage. Allison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Allison clinches up against the cage. Allison is looking to break free of the clinch but Smirnov has double underhooks. Smirnov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Smirnov can't get the takedown.
Allison lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Allison lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smirnov backwards. Allison gets underhooks to prevent Smirnov's takedown attempt.

That's going to take a lot out of Petr Smirnov. Smirnov is defending well against a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allison is trying to drag Smirnov to the mat but Smirnov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jim Allison has scored more points in the clinch so far. Smirnov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Allison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Smirnov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Allison. Smirnov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Allison circles away. Allison changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Smirnov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Allison scores with a spinning back kick! Smirnov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Smirnov or perhaps it was just good defense by Allison, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allison lands a nice leg kick that just misses Smirnov's sensitive parts. Smirnov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Allison but Allison pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smirnov rushes Allison and presses him up against the cage. Smirnov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Allison's efforts to push away. Nice elbow from Allison.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allison breaks from the clinch.
Allison wants to clinch. Smirnov closes the distance and clinches. Allison jumps guard but Smirnov stands there with Allison around his waist. Allison gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Allison is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smirnov can do to turn this around? Smirnov lands with a right to the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Jim Allison showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Allison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
