Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tron Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Luke Fisher enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tron Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Fisher!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher stuffs the takedown.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fisher misses with a takedown

and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fisher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fisher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fisher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fisher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fisher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead.
Johnson rolls, trying to escape but Fisher keeps control of the position.
Fisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fisher is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Fisher. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fisher's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fisher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Fisher counters with a single leg into guard. Johnson didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tron Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Fisher controlling him for the moment.

Fisher postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fisher, into his guard.
Fisher looks gassed!
Fisher tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Johnson advances position into side control!

Johnson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Fisher tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Johnson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fisher looks calm but he's in trouble here. Johnson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fisher is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Johnson lets go of the hold and Fisher can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tron Johnson!
