The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noonan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Noonan is pressing down on Smith's thigh, looking to free his foot. Smith is holding on for now.
Smith is trying to maintain the position but Noonan is very close to passing his half guard.

Noonan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Smith is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Noonan to the mat. Noonan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
