The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bergman.
Hess throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bergman's waist but Bergman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hess off to one side.
Bergman throws out a counter right but Hess avoids it with no problem.

Hess bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hess wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bergman, who protects the arm well.

Hess thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hess has hold of Bergman's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bergman seems comfortable defending it but Hess has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bergman is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bergman is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hess couldn't care less - he's delighted!
