The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davis shoots and misses
and Gibson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Davis slips a jab and a cross from Gibson.

Despite the aggression on Gibson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Gibson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oooooh!!! Gibson has knocked Davis down with a huge combo! Gibson steps away and waves a wobbly Davis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Gibson has cracked Davis with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Gibson lands another huge swinging hook and Davis tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Davis, before Gibson can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Taj Gibson!
A relieved looking Taj Gibson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
