Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisto Anttila! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Bullard! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anttila swings widly with a right hand
letting Bullard counter with a right hand.
It looks like Taisto Anttila has been cut. A shot to the body from Anttila misses and Bullard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Taisto Anttila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anttila is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bullard. Bullard looks to land a left hand but Anttila moved out of range nicely. Anttila misses with a lunging right hand
and Bullard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Anttila is rocked! Bullard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Oh Anttila is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Anttila throws a body punch but Bullard moves out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bullard! But no joy. Bullard blocks a jab. Anttila thows a left - swing and a miss! Anttila seems to have got his legs back now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Bullard. Anttila misses with an uppercut. Bullard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Anttila swings widly with a right hand
and Bullard counters with a crisp one two that drops Anttila! Bullard thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Anttila to his feet! Anttila is in big trouble!
That's one minute gone in the round. Anttila moves out of range of the strikes. Anttila throws a right hand that misses
and Bullard counters with a huge left! Anttila is in big trouble! He's backing up but Bullard isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Anttila from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bullard!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Bullard! During a confident post fight interview, Tony Bullard thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
