Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toni Eerkilaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Toni Eerkilaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackie Chan!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa misses with a looping left.
Eerkilaa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chan.
Chan moves away from the strike by Eerkilaa.
No luck for Chan with that takedown attempt.

Chan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Eerkilaa jabbing away but nothing is landing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eerkilaa's waist but Eerkilaa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chan off to one side.
Chan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Eerkilaa is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Eerkilaa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chan in his tracks.

and Chan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chan.
Chan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eerkilaa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chan is looking to work some ground and pound but Eerkilaa has wrist control.

Chan wants to control from the top but Eerkilaa keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chan wants to pass the guard but Eerkilaa is keeping the position.
Chan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Eerkilaa lands a nice shot that snaps Chan's head back.
Eerkilaa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chan shoots in for a double leg but Eerkilaa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Toni Eerkilaa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Chan.

Eerkilaa throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Chan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Chan lands with a punch from half guard.

Eerkilaa has hold of Chan's hands but Chan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Eerkilaa is staying active underneath Chan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chan throws a strike but Eerkilaa avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Eerkilaa controls Chan momentarily but Chan frees himself.

Chan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Chan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Eerkilaa.
A head kick misses from Chan.
A nice combination there by Eerkilaa.


It looks like Jackie Chan has been cut.
Chan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Eerkilaa takes a swing at Chan's ribcage but misses.
Eerkilaa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Eerkilaa misses with a straight right.
A big right from Eerkilaa misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eerkilaa misses with an uppercut. Chan saw that one coming.
Chan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Eerkilaa throws a head kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Chan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eerkilaa has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Chan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Chan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Eerkilaa.
Chan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Eerkilaa just stands there and leans against the cage.

A right handed body shot lands from Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa is working Chan over against the cage.
Eerkilaa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A short uppercut from Eerkilaa.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Eerkilaa lands a hook to the side of the head.
Eerkilaa lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chan backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chan is trying to force a seperation but Eerkilaa has the dominant position.
Chan is breathing heavily.
A short uppercut from Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa lands a hook to the side of the head.

Eerkilaa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Eerkilaa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Toni Eerkilaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Eerkilaa connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Chan throws a series of punches but Eerkilaa moves out of range.

and Eerkilaa counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chan! Eerkilaa lets Chan back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Chan is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A good leg kick by Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa fakes the body blow, causing Chan to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Chan goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Toni Eerkilaa bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
