The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uba looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Uba is controlling well.
Uba is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Uba throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely.
Uba slows the pace down in half guard.
Uba is working for a kimura but Gracie is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Uba is pressing down on Gracie's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gracie is holding on for now.

Uba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Uba wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Gracie's closed guard. He's half up but Gracie has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Gracie pivots and extends the arm, Uba falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Gracie! Well done that man!
