Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arkady Balagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akeel Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arkady Balagan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Akeel Lynch's chin.

12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arkady Balagan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akeel Lynch! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balagan shoots in and drives through. Lynch sprawls well. Lynch has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Balagan is landing a low percentage of strikes. Nice uppercut there from Lynch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Balagan. Lynch feints the counter takedown. Lynch slaps away a takedown attempt from Balagan, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arkady Balagan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Balagan sprawls well initially but Lynch persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lynch looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lynch feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Balagans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Balagan closes the distance and clinches up with Lynch, looking for a takedown. Balagan pushes Lynch against the cage but Lynch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lynch drives through with a takedown into Balagan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lynch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lynch throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Balagan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Balagan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Balagan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lynch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lynch throws an elbow that misses. Balagan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lynch's guard. Nice move by Balagan! Lynch preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Balagan shoots in for a takedown but Lynch shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Balagan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lynch misses with a looping left. Balagan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Balagan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lynch but Lynch pushes him off and we're back to square one. And that's the end of the fight! Akeel Lynch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lynch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
