Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance Kilkenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Kilkenny! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Jaso! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilkenny explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. A nice leg kick lands there from Kilkenny. Kilkenny forces Jaso back against the cage and clinches. Jaso takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Carlos Jaso has been cut. Jaso fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kilkenny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kilkenny throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jaso takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jaso has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jaso has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kilkenny looks to land a combination but Jaso avoids it well. A little jabbing left from Jaso on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Kilkenny pushes Jaso away with a front kick. Lance Kilkenny is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kilkenny throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaso. Jaso looks like he wants to counter punch here. Jaso fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kilkenny to the ground. Jaso is now in Kilkenny's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jaso throws a big right hand that misses. Kilkenny utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jaso lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jaso postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jaso with a flurry of punches that miss. Jaso sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kilkenny's guard. Jaso working Kilkenny over with strikes. Kilkenny knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jaso on the ground. Jaso wants to control but Kilkenny is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaso lands strikes from half guard. Kilkenny is looking to control Jaso's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kilkenny avoid being mounted? Jaso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jaso throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jaso thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jaso winds up and cracks Kilkenny with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jaso connects with a nice short shot to Kilkenny's temple. Kilkenny has hold of Jaso's hands but Jaso slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jaso is nestled in close to Kilkenny, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jaso thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jaso thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kilkenny is trying to maintain the position but Jaso is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaso working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jaso works his way into side control. Jaso is chipping away with strikes.

Kilkenny is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Jaso working the ground and pound from side control. Kilkenny is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Montreal Fighter's Gym (4.5* Sparring) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Jaso looks up at the clock and then as Kilkenny takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jaso smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kilkenny on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kilkenny tries to get out of the position. Jaso trying to control the action but Kilkenny is working from the bottom. Kilkenny managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jaso.

A close round but Carlos Jaso will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Carlos Jaso's cut. That's time! Kilkenny's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kilkenny walks into a stiff left hand from Jaso. Jaso takes a swing at Kilkenny's ribcage but misses. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Jaso! Kilkenny is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
