Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Runner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Solrac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jake Runner has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Runner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Solrac! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solrac misses with a straight right. Runner fails to land the takedown. Runner has a takedown stuffed. Solrac closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Solrac moves nicely into side control. Solrac is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Runner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Solrac wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Runner, who protects the arm well. Solrac in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Solrac tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Solrac has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Solrac thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Runner manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Solrac looks gassed! Runner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Runner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Runner is trying to control the action in half guard but Solrac is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Runner is looking for a kimura but Solrac is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Runner to get the leverage. Solrac is trying to maintain the position but Runner is very close to passing his half guard. Solrac is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Solrac looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Runner moves into full mount! Solrac won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solrac is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Runner locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Solrac is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Runner!
