Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronda Rousey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Copeland napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Copeland shoots in looking for a takedown. Rousey tries to sprawl out of it but Copeland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rousey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rousey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Copeland to the mat! Copeland manages to get full guard.
Copeland is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Rousey presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Rousey is trying to trip Copeland. He has hold of a leg but Copeland is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rousey persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rodney Copeland.
Well Rousey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
