Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emery Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Percy Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emery Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Percy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hogan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hogan is in Jones's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hogan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hogan really is a fat lump.
Hogan working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Hogan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hogan tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Hogan has control of an arm but Jones manages to advance to Hogan's back!

Hogan has hold of Jones's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

Jones has the hooks in. Hogan is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hogan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogan is trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hogan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hogan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jones won't allow Hogan to get back to his feet.
Jones trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom.
Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Hogan.
Hogan has control of Jones's left arm, preventing Jones from doing any damage.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hogan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Jones misses with a knee strike.

Hogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hogan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hogan somewhat.

Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Hogan is proving a slippery customer.
Jones is looking to sweep but instead, Hogan has passed into half guard.
Well, if Hogan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hogan dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And Jones tries to counter it with a takedown but Hogan pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hogan is looking to counter the offense by Jones and move into the clinch.
Jones tries to clinch but Hogan moves out of range.
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Hogan sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones gets caught napping as Hogan dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.

Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Hogan stuffs the takedown.
Hogan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Hogan persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.

Hogan has control of an arm but Jones manages to advance to Hogan's back!
Hogan is trying to get back to his feet but Jones has full control of the position and if anything, Hogan has just worked his way into a worse spot.

You can see the frustration on Hogan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Jones is riding his opponent, not letting Hogan buck him off.

Hogan is trying to shake Jones off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Jones won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jones throws a series of punches but Hogan moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hogan fails to land the takedown.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Hogan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hogan shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Hogan. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hogan or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.
Hogan moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromJones.

And that's the end of the fight!
Percy Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hogan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
