Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera 5 Minutes Alone. Steve Stone has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Kozlov! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone avoids a kick to the body.
Kozlov tries to clinch there but Stone circles away.
Kozlov shoots for a double leg takedown but Stone sprawls well. He's pushed Kozlov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kozlov's guard. Stone lands a couple of digs. Kozlov punching to the body, from the bottom. Stone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stone with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kozlov wriggles free and stands up. Kozlov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kozlov misses with a leg kick.
Stone feints and as Kozlov raises his hands in defense, Stone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Stone stands up and waves to Kozlov to follow him. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kozlov, right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kozlov tries to close the distance and clinch but Stone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stone fails with the takedown and Kozlov counters with a head kick. That will keep Stone thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Stone is breathing heavily.
Kozlov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stone wants to stand and escape but Kozlov is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kozlov wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kozlov on the ground. Kozlov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stone on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position. Kozlov lands a couple of elbows. Stone throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Kozlov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. Kozlov trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone has momentary wrist control but Kozlov slips an elbow through the middle.

Kozlov stands up and waves to Stone to follow him. Kozlov shoots in but Stone avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stone throws a jab when Kozlov was well out of range.
Stone pushes Kozlov up against the cage in a clinch. Kozlov has had enough of the clinch but Stone keeps him there for the moment. Kozlov goes for a takedown attempt but Stone pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Steve Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Kozlov. Stone stuffs the takedown attempt from Kozlov. Kozlov gets slowly back to his feet. Stone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kozlov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kozlov wants to clinch. Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kozlov as he avoids it easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stone closes the distance and clinches. Kozlov can't break the clinch.

Steve Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone feints and as Kozlov raises his hands in defense, Stone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Stone misses with the combination.
Stone digs a good body shot into Kozlov's ribs. The fight stays on the outside here - Kozlov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stone wants to clinch.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kozlov circles away. Kozlov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kozlov avoids the body shot from Stone.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Kozlov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kozlov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kozlov moves out of range of the body kick from Stone.
Kozlov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Steve Stone will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Stone throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kozlov counters with a series of strikes. Stone will be more careful next time no doubt. Kozlov tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Stone counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stone is thwarting Kozlov's attempts to control the position.
Stone stands up out of the half guard. Stone tries to bum rush Kozlov with a series of wild strikes but Kozlov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kozlov gets caught flat footed, as Stone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stone prevents Kozlov from getting back to his feet. Kozlov working a defensive guard here.
Stone tries to free his leg and advance position but Kozlov is retaining full guard. Stone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kozlov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stone gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kozlov throws a sloppy head kick and Stone moves out of range easily. Kozlov tries to clinch but Stone moves away
and Stone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stone thows a big elbow that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stone postures up in Kozlov's guard and throws a big left but Kozlov blocks it.
Kozlov pushes Stone off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Steve Stone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kozlov takes one to the chin there. Kozlov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stone circles away.
Stone moves into range and clinches up with Kozlov.
Kozlov wants the takedown. Stone is fighting it off but Kozlov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stone's guard against the cage. Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Kozlov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stone wants to stand but Kozlov is controlling the position. Steve Stone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. Kozlov stops Stone from standing up. Stone manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kozlov tries to hold on but Stone postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kozlov's face.
Kozlov regains half guard. Kozlov tries to kick Stone off but Stone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kozlov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kozlov manages to get to full guard.
Stone won't allow Kozlov to get back to his feet.
Stone stands up from guard. Let's bang!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozlov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stone looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Stone wanted to stand there but Kozlov had control of the position. Stone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kozlov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kozlov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stone. Stone wants to clinch but Kozlov slips to the side and Kozlov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kozlov scores with a one two! Stone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Stone works Kozlov's body with a nice hook. Stone keeps the fight on the outside. Stone throws a predictable looking body shot
so Kozlov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Stone is looking to stand up but Kozlov isn't so interested in that idea.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kozlov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kozlov prevents Stone from getting back to his feet. Kozlov works over Stone with some ground and pound from guard. Kozlov scoring with punches to the head and body.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kozlov slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Kozlov misses with a takedown attempt and Stone counters with a straight right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stone cracks Kozlov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Stone. No joy for Kozlov on that attempt. Steve Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Kozlov.
Stone closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stone scores with a couple of good hammerfists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kozlov is trying to stand back up but Stone is controlling him
Kozlov is in trouble now - Stone has advanced to mount! Kozlov flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kozlov tries to lock up and control but Stone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kozlov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Stone working away from the top, dropping strikes. Stone scoring with strikes but Kozlov is staying in there. Kozlov tries to hold on but Stone postures up. Stone with good strikes from the mount here! Kozlov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kozlov is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Stone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

BOOM! Stone connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kozlov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kozlov manages to regain half guard. Good work. Stone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kozlov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stone postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kozlov to stand up. Kozlov tries to clinch but Stone is having none of it. Kozlov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kozlov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kozlov shoots in for a double leg but Stone sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kozlov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kozlov showed some decent athleticism there.

Kozlov pushes Stone up against the cage in a clinch. Kozlov goes for a takedown attempt but Stone pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stone throws a leg kick that is checked and Kozlov counters with a head kick. Stone uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Stone misses with a hook. Kozlov ducked under it nicely. Kozlov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Kozlov. No joy for Stone on that attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozlov lands with a nice combination. Stone backs away looking to recover. Some wild striking there from Kozlov.
Kozlov looks to land a combination but Stone avoids it well. Stone looks to land a combination. Kozlov sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stone. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone thows a body shot but no joy. Stone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kozlov is looking to clinch. Good leg kick by Kozlov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice sprawl there from Stone as Kozlov shoots in. Stone fails with a takedown attempt. Stone fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone shoots in looking for a takedown. Kozlov tries to sprawl out of it but Stone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kozlov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kozlov throws a nice inside leg kick. Kozlov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kozlov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stone tries to avoid it but Kozlov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stone to the ground. Stone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Stone throws a nice looking combination but Kozlov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kozlov fails with the takedown. Kozlov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stone is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Stone misses with a combination
and Kozlov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Stone takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stone lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Stone is looking to clinch but Kozlov is avoiding it.
Igor Kozlov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steve Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kozlov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stone counters by moving into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Stone. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
