Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aleksandrov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steele's guard.

Aleksandrov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aleksandrov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Aleksandrov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Steele is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aleksandrov, into his guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Aleksandrov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steele was covering up waiting for the punch and Aleksandrov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've been informed that Aleksandrov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Aleksandrov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Steele to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Steele shrugs it off.
Steele is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Aleksandrov is persistently looking for the submission but Steele is defending it well.

You can see the frustration on Steele's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Aleksandrov is riding his opponent, not letting Steele buck him off.
Aleksandrov is raining down hard shots and and Steele has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
