Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Queef Jone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, John Prescot! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prescot defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jone. Nice body punch from Prescot. Jone misses with a takedown attempt and Prescot counters with a lovely shot to the body. Prescot works Jone's body with a nice hook. Jone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Prescot sprawls well. Prescot wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jone gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Queef Jone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jone is breathing heavily. Prescot slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Prescot ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prescot punishes Jone's body with a nice straight punch. Jone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Prescot digs a good hook to Jone's body.
Prescot fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Prescot throws a front kick that sends Jone stumbling back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Prescot instigates a clinch. Prescot pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prescot looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Prescot lands a right hook to the body.
Prescot lands a body shot.
Prescot connects with a looping right hand.
Prescot is looking to slow Jone down with leg kicks. Prescot looks for a takedown but Jone sprawls well. Jone shoots in and drives through. Prescot sprawls well. Prescot lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Prescot lands a slapping body shot.
Prescot cracks Jone with a good jab. Prescot bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Prescot with a nice cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jone has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prescot moves into the clinch successfully.
Prescot is looking for a takedown. Prescot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Prescot scores with a push kick. Prescot has managed to clinch.
Prescot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Prescot throws a monster overhand right that drops Jone! Prescot follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Prescot!
