Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kola Dum Knightling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kola Dum Knightling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Erik McCarthy!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dum Knightling as he jumps to the side.
Dum Knightling drops down looking for a counter takedown but McCarthy sprawls and moves away.
McCarthy throws a one two combo.

McCarthy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dum Knightling wants to stand back up but McCarthy manages to pass into side control.
Dum Knightling is trying to work for a sweep but McCarthy has mounted him!
McCarthy throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Dum Knightling defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from McCarthy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCarthy content just to control the position here.
McCarthy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dum Knightling is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

A bit of a pause in the action here. McCarthy controlling the positon.
It looks like McCarthy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
McCarthy lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Dum Knightling hold on?!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Even with his hooks in, McCarthy manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Erik McCarthy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



McCarthy closes the distance and clinches.

McCarthy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dum Knightling uses from the top position.
McCarthy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCarthy is on top in guard.

McCarthy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dum Knightling is just riding it out for now. McCarthy eventually gives up the hold.

Well McCarthy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
