The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Hensley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hensley looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Jackson throws a combination. Hensley tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jackson motions for Hensley to come forward. Jackson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hensley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson.
Hensley blocks a jab.
Jackson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jackson thuds a left hand into Hensley's body.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Hensley throws a counter high kick but Jackson was just alert enough to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hensley takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jackson looks to land a left hand but Hensley moved out of range nicely.

and Hensley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hensley prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Hensley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is trying to control but Hensley manages to pass to mount!
Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Hensley has a good base and remains in mount.

Jackson tries to improve his position but Hensley has taken his back! Hensley has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jackson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Hensley pushes Jackson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
