Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Deep! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deep throws a head kick that half lands.
Deep misses with a lunging right hand
and White counters with a shoot takedown. Deep fights it but they end up in guard. White gets to his feet. Deep looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! White decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. White is thwarting Deep's attempts to control the position. Deep tries to roll over but White keeps him under control. White passes the guard and advances to mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White lands a big shot there that rocks Deep but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deep tries to lock up and control but White gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Deep keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Deep is still trying to improve position. Deep sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Deep is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Deep wants to get back to his feet. White trying to control from half guard but Deep is working away. Deep punching from the bottom.
Deep flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. White looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Deep is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Deep manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Deep working a defensive guard here.
White is working Deep over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. White looking to sit in guard and control but Deep gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Deep throwing strikes from guard but White blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Deep stacks White on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Deep! Deep works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Deep throwing shots but missing, from side control. White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. White is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Deep's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Deep postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for White to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John White dominated that round. That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

It looks like John White has been cut. White is trying to pull guard but Deep turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. We've been informed that Deep has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Come on Deep - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Deep creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through White's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Deep trying to stall but White improves his position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Deep - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Johnny Deep. Deep swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by White. A nice inside leg kick there by Deep. That's going to slow White down. Deep throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
White moves into the clinch. White swings wildly with an uppercut but Deep uses good head movement to avoid it. White has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Deep is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Deep creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through White's defenses. White tries to circle away but Deep has him pinned against the cage. Deep is trying to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Deep. The referee calls for Deep to work.
Deep gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Deep is working for takedown but White is calmly controlling the position for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! White jumps guard but Deep stands there with White around his waist. White gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John White. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deep pulls White into guard.
Deep not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
White would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Deep working for submissions but it's allowed White to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Deep tries a head kick but it misses.
Deep tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. White drops down looking for a counter takedown but Deep sprawls and moves away. Deep cracks White with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Deep fails to land with a series of punches.
White throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Deep tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. White is in Deep's guard. Deep has his hands on White's head, controlling the position. White postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deep is striking off his back. White thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Deep defends it well. Deep manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Deep showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on John White's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Deep plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Deep gets a double leg takedown into White's guard. White wriggles free and stands up. Deep lands with a kick to the temple. White shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Deep jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! White defending well as Deep loads up on a big left hand. White gets the takedown into side control. Deep can't do much from the bottom here. What's Deep going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Deep's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Deep gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. White is taking a breather. Deep says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Deep trying to hold on to White's head to control him but White postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. White looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Deep tries to kick White off but White keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. White trying to mount his opponent but Deep defends it. White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Deep is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Deep looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deep moves into the clinch. Deep slows down the pace here.
Deep lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Deep pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. White takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Deep keeps the fight on the outside. Deep is looking to clinch but White is avoiding it.
White throws a body kick that misses and Deep counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Deep tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. John White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Deep drives through and clinches with White against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deep avoiding damage.

Deep is struggling to control the position. White is trying to force a seperation but Deep has the dominant position. Deep lands an elbow inside.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Deep comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Deep has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
