8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elvin Mays! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Mays. Khan does a little dance to reset his feet. Mays slaps away a takedown attempt from Khan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mays tries to counter by closing the distance. Mays swings for the body but Khan moves out of range.
Khan is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mays. Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mays tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mays to the ground. Mays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Khan fails with the takedown. Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mays.
