With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Sokolov!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall connects with a body shot.
Hall lands with a right hand.


It looks like Fedor Sokolov has been cut.
Fedor Sokolov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall misses with a takedown
letting Sokolov counter with a right hand.
Sokolov throws an overhand right that lands on Hall's shoulder, as Hall tries to avoid the shot.
A jab from Sokolov misses.
Sokolov stuffs the takedown attempt from Hall. Hall gets slowly back to his feet.
Sokolov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hall.
Hall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sokolov sprawls and moves away.
Sokolov misses with a straight left.
Hall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sokolov throws a big shot that misses.
Sokolov looks to land a left hand but Hall moved out of range nicely.
Sokolov is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Sokolov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sokolov misses with a hook. Hall ducked under it nicely.
Hall appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Sokolov throws a jab when Hall was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall defending well as Sokolov loads up on a big left hand.
Hall tries to counter with a takedown but Sokolov is quick to defend against it.
Hall lands with a shot to the body.

Hall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sokolov to the mat! Sokolov manages to get full guard.
Sokolov trying to keep a closed guard but Hall is proving a slippery customer.

Hall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sokolov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Our spies down at at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES inform us that Sokolov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Sokolov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hall working some strikes from top position.
Hall pushing down on Sokolov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Hall wants to work for an arm triangle but Sokolov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sokolov is looking to control Hall's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sokolov avoid being mounted?
Hall lands strikes from half guard.
Hall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sokolov!
Sokolov wants to control but Hall is having none of it.
Sokolov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hall haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hall looking to secure an arm triangle but Sokolov defends it well.
Hall postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sokolov looks a forlorn figure.

Sokolov wants to control but Hall is having none of it.
Hall cracks Sokolov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall raining down hammerfists from mount.
Sokolov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hall is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Sokolov tries to hold on but Hall postures up.
Hall in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sokolov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hall scoring with strikes but Sokolov is staying in there.
Sokolov prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Sokolov tries to hold on but Hall pushes him away.
Sokolov is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hall is staying active.
Hall landing strikes from the mount and Sokolov is in trouble!


That has opened up Fedor Sokolov's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The cut above Fedor Sokolov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fedor Sokolov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
