1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goulven Andegue! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson moves in looking to clinch but Andegue pushes him off. Andegue throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nelson counters with a series of strikes. Andegue will be more careful next time no doubt. Nelson wants to clinch. Andegue thinks about the counter body kick. Andegue looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Andegue misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Andegue moves away. Andegue throws the kick towards the body but Nelson avoids it. Nice defenses there by Nelson. Andegue rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nelson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andegue takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Goulven Andegue has been cut. Andegue walks into a left hand. Andegue throws a right hand that Nelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Nelson also avoids with ease. Nelson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Andegue gets a clinch. Nelson has had enough of the clinch but Andegue keeps him there for the moment.

A frustrated look appears on Andegue's face as he tries to break the clinch. Andegue misses with an elbow strike.
Nelson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nelson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Andegue is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson. A quick step to the side and Nelson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Nelson tries to clinch up. Andegue misses with a double jab
and Nelson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Andegue misses with a combination
and Nelson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Andegue is lucky that one didn't land flush. Nelson is looking to slow Andegue down with leg kicks. Andegue tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Andegue pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nelson is looking to counter with a body kick. Andegue is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd cheers as Nelson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Andegue doesn't seem phased though. Nelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Andegue circles away.

He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage. Nelson lands a nice shot to the body.
Andegue feints a jab promting Nelson to slip. Andegue then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nelson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Nelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Nelson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Nelson cracks a nice hook into Andegue's ribs. Andegue tries to move into range but Nelson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Andegue is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Goulven Andegue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Andegue circles away.
Nelson is looking to wear down Andegue with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nelson throws a good cross that connects.
That has opened up Goulven Andegue's cut even more. Andegue throws the kick towards the body but Nelson avoids it. Andegue takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Andegue circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Andegue looks to land a combination but Nelson avoids it well. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Nelson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Nelson rushes Andegue and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Nelson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Andegue wants to break free but Nelson has control.
