Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grimm's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, ACDC - Dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Stefan Grimm has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Peterson! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson throws a leg kick that misses. Grimm swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Peterson shoots and misses and Peterson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Peterson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Grimm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Grimm leaves Peterson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson wants to clinch and Grimm counters with a straight right hand. Peterson misses with a double jab

That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Peterson lands in his opponent's guard. Grimm wriggles free and stands up. Grimm scores with a hook to the body. Peterson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Peterson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grimm was well out of range. Poor timing from Peterson. Grimm feinted there with a counter leg kick. Peterson misses with a body kick. Grimm definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Grimm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Peterson fails with the takedown. A counter left hand to the body from Grimm misses its target. Peterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grimm tried to counter with a leg kick but Peterson avoided it. Peterson throws a hook but Grimm blocks it. Grimm half committed to a counter leg kick. Peterson misses with a takedown attempt and Grimm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grimm slips a jab from Peterson.

Grimm lands with a straight right. Peterson didn't see that one coming. Grimm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Grimm engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Peterson working for a triangle but Grimm defends it easily.
Grimm wants to stand but Peterson is controlling his posture from full guard. Grimm not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grimm wants to stand but Peterson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Grimm is stalling in the full guard. Peterson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Grimm seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Grimm would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stefan Grimm dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Grimm is trying to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling him. Grimm can't break the clinch.
Peterson is trying to maintain a safe position but Grimm gets an underhook and turns Peterson into the cage. Grimm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Peterson with a lazy takedown attempt and Grimm connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Peterson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Stefan Grimm is winning the standup battle so far. A lazy body kick from Peterson and Grimm counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson throws a right and a left that both miss. A quick step to the side and Grimm tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Peterson misses with a head kick.
Grimm was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Grimm closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Peterson's guard. Peterson is working an open guard so Grimm takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Peterson misses with a takedown attempt and Grimm counters with a lovely shot to the body. Grimm lands a jab to the head.

Peterson moves in looking to clinch but Grimm pushes him off. Grimm tries to sprawl but Peterson drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grimm wants to get back to full guard. Grimm is staying active underneath Peterson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Peterson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Peterson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Grimm tries to keep at a distance but Peterson has taken the fight into the clinch. Peterson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Grimm walks away with a smile on his face. Peterson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Stefan Grimm is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Peterson tries to clinch and Grimm counters with a stiff right hand. A shot to the body from Peterson misses enabling Grimm to counter with a crisp jab. Peterson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Grimm counters with a lovely straight right hand! Peterson misses with a takedown and Grimm counters with a nice uppercut. Peterson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. It looked like Grimm was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Peterson. Max Peterson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson throws a sloppy head kick and Grimm moves out of range easily. Grimm cracks Peterson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Peterson with a poor takedown enabling Grimm to counter with a crisp jab. Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peterson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Grimm changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Grimm closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Grimm controlling the position. Grimm decides to stand back up. Grimm steps back and let's Peterson get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson tries to clinch up but Grimm circles away and keeps his distance. Peterson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Peterson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Peterson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peterson tries to clinch and Grimm counters with a stiff right hand. Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Grimm connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Max Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peterson throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Grimm to counter with a crisp jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Stefan Grimm showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grimm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
