Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, J J Heck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trey Wilson! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Heck throws a shot to the body.
Heck moves into the clinch successfully.
Heck throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wilson blocks it with crossed arms. Heck wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Heck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heck misses with the combination.
Heck scores with a three punch combo!
Heck throws a right and a left that Wilson avoids nicely. Heck tries to clinch up. Heck scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Heck tries to clinch but Wilson is having none of it. Both fighters circling a little - Heck finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Wilson shoots in but no luck this time. Heck throws a series of punches but Wilson avoids them all with ease. Wilson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heck swivels and escapes. A left and a right from Heck both land. Nice combination. Wilson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. J J Heck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trey Wilson. Wilson slips a jab and a cross from Heck.
Wilson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Heck's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heck is looking for a triangle but Wilson pushes his legs off easily.
Heck is breathing heavily. Wilson pushing down on Heck's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Heck is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. Heck is in trouble now - Wilson has advanced to mount! Wilson looking for a guillotine from mount but Heck is having none of it. Heck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilson on the ground. Wilson moves to back control. Wilson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Heck! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wilson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Trey Wilson!
