Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Servo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bart Bogers! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bogers shoots for a double leg takedown but Servo sprawls well. He's pushed Bogers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Servo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bogers misses with a double jab.
Servo drives through with a takedown into guard. Bogers is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Servo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Servo breaks from the clinch.
Bart Bogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bogers tries to close the distance and clinch but Servo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Servo keeps the fight on the outside. Servo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Servo breaks from the clinch.
Bogers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Servo counters with a single leg into guard. Bogers didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Servo stands and throws Bogers's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Servo throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Servo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bogers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Servo stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Servo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Servo circles away from the clinch attempt and Servo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bogers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Servo is controlling him. Servo is breathing heavily. Bogers pushes Servo off and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Bogers. Bogers misses with a double jab.
Bogers scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Bogers closes the distance but Servo moves to the side and Servo moves into the clinch. Bogers wants to break free but Servo has control.

Servo keeps control of Bogers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Servo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bogers clinches but Servo breaks the clinch and Servo counters with a shoot takedown. Bogers fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bogers is looking to stand up but Servo isn't so interested in that idea. Bogers is trying to control the position but Servo postures up. Servo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bogers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bogers working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bogers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Servo trying to control but Bogers is working from the bottom. Bogers trying to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bogers looks to land a combination. Servo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A right-left combo lands from Bogers. Bogers lands a slapping body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bogers darts in trying to clinch and Servo counters with a single leg into guard. Bogers didn't expect that. Servo postures up.
Bogers wants to stand but Servo is controlling the position. Bogers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Servo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bogers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Servo has Bogers in his guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bogers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Servo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bogers throws a nice looking combination but Servo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bogers is looking to clinch. Bogers lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Servo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bogers tries to kick Servo off but Servo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bogers is trying to control but can't.

Bogers tries to kick Servo off but Servo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Servo stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bogers to get to his feet. Servo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bogers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Servo circles away. Servo dodges the punch combination from Bogers.
Good shot there by Bogers. Bogers scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bogers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A lull in the action here. Tom Servo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Servo stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bogers lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Servo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bogers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Servo is looking to escape. Bogers controlling the pace for now. Poor strikes thrown by Bogers there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Servo is squirming around, avoiding Bogers's attempts to control the action. Bogers thowing shots but they're missing.

Bogers avoids the attempt from Servo to control. Bogers throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Bogers controlling his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Servo tries to lock up and control but Bogers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tom Servo. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Servo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
