Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noel Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paulie Garrison!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Garrison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Garrison is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Garrison tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garrison has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Garrison makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Garrison.

Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Garrison is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Diaz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Garrison.

It looked like Diaz was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Garrison.

and Diaz counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Diaz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Garrison frees his head nicely. Oh but Diaz has switched to an armbar! Garrison is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
