Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Shwartzneger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eldon Figueroa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arnold Shwartzneger! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shwartzneger moves to clinch but Figueroa breaks away and Figueroa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shwartzneger's guard. Shwartzneger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shwartzneger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Figueroa controls the pace. Shwartzneger looking to control.
Figueroa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shwartzneger wants to sweep here but Figueroa controlling him for the moment. Shwartzneger wants to stand but Figueroa is controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Figueroa gets a clinch. Figueroa could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Shwartzneger breaks from the clinch.
Shwartzneger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Figueroa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Figueroa is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Shwartzneger presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Figueroa works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Shwartzneger is trying to break free. Shwartzneger has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Shwartzneger turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shwartzneger with the ground and pound but Figueroa regains half guard under the barage of strikes. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shwartzneger lands a nice short elbow. Figueroa tries to kick Shwartzneger off but Shwartzneger keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Shwartzneger throws a strike but Figueroa avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Shwartzneger stops Figueroa from standing up. Shwartzneger trying to control but Figueroa is working from the bottom. Figueroa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shwartzneger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Figueroa keeping moving, preventing Shwartzneger from controlling successfully. Shwartzneger is looking to stand up but Figueroa won't let him. Shwartzneger trying to control the position from guard on top but Figueroa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Figueroa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shwartzneger is trying to stand up here but Figueroa is controlling him well. Figueroa controlling the action here. We've been informed that Shwartzneger has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shwartzneger is trying to get back to full guard. Figueroa is controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Figueroa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Figueroa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eldon Figueroa dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Figueroa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shwartzneger quickly recovers to half guard. Figueroa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Shwartzneger to stand up. Shwartzneger throws a head kick that misses and Figueroa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shwartzneger won't be happy with that. Figueroa decides to stand back up. Arnold Shwartzneger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shwartzneger throws a lazy head kick and Figueroa counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shwartzneger trying to hold on to Figueroa's head to control him but Figueroa postures up.
Figueroa slows the pace down in half guard. Figueroa decides to stand and escape the position. Shwartzneger is breathing heavily. Shwartzneger moves into the clinch. Figueroa stalling against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Figueroa pulls guard effortlessly. Shwartzneger trying to control but Figueroa is working from the bottom. Shwartzneger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Arnold Shwartzneger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shwartzneger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Figueroa's guard. Shwartzneger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Shwartzneger gets a takedown into half guard. Figueroa manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Shwartzneger keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shwartzneger gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Figueroa regains guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shwartzneger trying to control but Figueroa is working from the bottom. Figueroa wants to stand up but Shwartzneger is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shwartzneger looking to sit in guard and control but Figueroa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Figueroa gets to his feet. Shwartzneger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Shwartzneger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Figueroa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Shwartzneger throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Figueroa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shwartzneger is in Figueroa's guard. Figueroa controls Shwartzneger momentarily but Shwartzneger frees himself. Shwartzneger throws a strike but Figueroa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Figueroa lands a couple of digs. Shwartzneger is working an open guard so Figueroa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A low kick from Shwartzneger is predictable there and Figueroa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Shwartzneger!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shwartzneger wants to control but Figueroa postures up. Figueroa decides to stand back up. Figueroa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Figueroa gets to his feet - Shwartzneger follows without any prompting. Shwartzneger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shwartzneger connects with a nice short shot to Figueroa's temple. Eldon Figueroa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shwartzneger looks to land a strike but Figueroa avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Shwartzneger wants to control from the top but Figueroa keeps moving. Shwartzneger looking to sit in guard and control but Figueroa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shwartzneger wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Figueroa manages to pass to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shwartzneger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Shwartzneger looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Figueroa gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shwartzneger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Figueroa drives through with a takedown into Shwartzneger's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Shwartzneger is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Figueroa presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Figueroa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shwartzneger can do to turn this around? Shwartzneger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Figueroa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shwartzneger uses from the top position. Figueroa wants to sweep here but Shwartzneger controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shwartzneger is fighting to break Figueroa's control of his arms but Figueroa is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Figueroa has his feet on Shwartzneger's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Shwartzneger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Figueroa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shwartzneger. Shwartzneger moves in looking to clinch but Figueroa pushes him off. Figueroa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shwartzneger wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Figueroa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shwartzneger to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Figueroa scores with a takedown into Shwartzneger's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Figueroa is stalling in the full guard. Figueroa stopping the sweep attempt from Shwartzneger. Figueroa gets to his feet - Shwartzneger follows without any prompting. Figueroa moves in looking to clinch but Shwartzneger pushes him off. Figueroa avoids the head kick by Shwartzneger.
Figueroa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shwartzneger pushes Figueroa off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Figueroa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Figueroa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Shwartzneger to stand up. Figueroa scores with a takedown into Shwartzneger's guard. Figueroa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Figueroa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shwartzneger wants to get back to his feet but Figueroa is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Shwartzneger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Figueroa controls the pace. Shwartzneger wants to stand and escape but Figueroa is having none of it. Arnold Shwartzneger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Figueroa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Figueroa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Figueroa slips a jab and a cross from Shwartzneger.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Shwartzneger enables Figueroa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shwartzneger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Figueroa prevents Shwartzneger from getting back to his feet. Shwartzneger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Figueroa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Eldon Figueroa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Shwartzneger has his foot on Figueroa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Figueroa works his way back into a safe position though.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eldon Figueroa. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Figueroa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
