Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Suihkija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suihkija has chosen Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hans Gruber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Hessu Suihkija! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Suihkija, right into the meat.
Suihkija shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gruber's guard. Suihkija must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gruber controlling Suihkija's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gruber looking for a sweep. Not yet Gruber, not yet. Gruber keeping moving, preventing Suihkija from controlling successfully. Gruber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gruber bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Suihkija's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suihkija utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gruber postures up in Suihkija's guard and throws a big left but Suihkija blocks it. Gruber tries to free his leg and advance position but Suihkija is retaining full guard. Gruber is standing up over Suihkija. Suihkija looks to escape but Gruber dives into side control.
Suihkija stops Gruber from passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suihkija tries to buck Gruber off but Gruber is having none of it. Suihkija is not content to let Gruber control the position. Suihkija is trying to get back to half guard. Gruber working the ground and pound from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gruber working the ground and pound from side control. Gruber lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Suihkija down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Suihkija's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Suihkija can do anything to dispel that myth. Gruber connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Suihkija some visible discomfort.

After a battle for position, Gruber asserts his dominance and retains side control. Gruber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Suihkija tries to bench press Gruber off him but Gruber keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suihkija takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Gruber working away. Suihkija is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gruber thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Suihkija is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gruber pulls his head out easily. Suihkija wants to control but Gruber is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gruber working the head and body with strikes. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gruber lands a nice short elbow. Suihkija taking some punishment here, with Gruber in his half guard.
It looks like Hessu Suihkija has been cut. Gruber is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gruber connects with a nice short shot to Suihkija's temple. Suihkija really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gruber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Suihkija wants to control but Gruber is keeping busy.

Suihkija is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gruber scores with a couple of nice shots. That has opened up Hessu Suihkija's cut even more. Suihkija has hold of Gruber's hands but Gruber slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Gruber dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hessu Suihkija's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gruber throws a body punch but Suihkija moves out of range. Gruber looks to score with a jab to the body but Suihkija is just out of range. Gruber gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Suihkija to score an easy takedown into full guard. Suihkija trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Gruber manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Suihkija looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gruber has picked Suihkija up and slammed him! Suihkija can't keep hold of the triangle and Gruber manages to pass to side control! Hans Gruber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gruber grinds an elbow into Suihkija's temple. Gruber working away. Hessu Suihkija's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hessu Suihkija's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hans Gruber! Hans Gruber thanked the fans post fight for their support. Hessu Suihkija spoke after the fight, saying 'Got the number of that bus?'.
