Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Kirillov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Debe Emtu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emtu has chosen Fade To Black as his entrance music. Max Kirillov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Debe Emtu!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emtu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Emtu misses with a series of wild punches.
Kirillov feinted with a counter takedown.

Kirillov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Emtu sprawls well initially but Kirillov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kirillov prevents Emtu from improving his position.

Emtu is staying active underneath Kirillov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Emtu has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Emtu tries to bench press Kirillov off him but Kirillov keeps the position.
Kirillov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emtu keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kirillov in particular looking to stall.

Emtu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kirillov pulls his head out easily.

Kirillov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Emtu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Emtu shrugs it off.

Kirillov has hold of Emtu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Emtu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kirillov wants to control the pace but Emtu is squirming around nicely.

Kirillov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Emtu has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Emtu is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kirillov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Emtu is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Kirillov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kirillov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Emtu looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kirillov fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kirillov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Debe Emtu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kirillov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Emtu as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Kirillov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Emtu connects with a nice looking jab.
Debe Emtu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emtu misses with a straight right.
Kirillov ducks under a wild hook from Emtu.
Kirillov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Emtu moves out of range as Kirillov strikes.
Emtu now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kirillov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Emtu quickly recovers to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kirillov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Kirillov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emtu can't escape the position.

Emtu tries to improve his position but Kirillov has taken his back! Kirillov has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Emtu tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Kirillov pushes Emtu away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Max Kirillov!
