Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Fredrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zsiga Venczel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredrick's entrance music is Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrick tries to clinch up but Venczel circles away and keeps his distance.
Venczel has managed to clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Venczel.
Venczel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Venczel scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fredrick is looking for a sweep.
Venczel looks up at the clock and then as Fredrick takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Venczel smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
An elbow from Venczel crashes against the mat.
Fredrick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Venczel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Venczel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fredrick sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fredrick is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Venczel off and has taken his back!
Venczel tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Fredrick tries to control but Venczel wriggling away.
Fredrick throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fredrick lands with some strikes.
Venczel manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Venczel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fredrick has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fredrick is looking to stand up but Venczel won't let him.
Venczel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Fredrick has his foot on Venczel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Venczel works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fredrick is trying to control the position but Venczel postures up.
Fredrick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Venczel is one step ahead there.

Fredrick has momentary wrist control but Venczel slips an elbow through the middle.

Venczel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Venczel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fredrick's guard.
Venczel is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Venczel is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Venczel slips a nice elbow through Fredrick's hands, connecting with Fredrick's forehead.
Oh Fredrick is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Venczel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Venczel is taking a breather. Fredrick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fredrick seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Venczel is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Venczel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fredrick pushes off an throws an elbow but Venczel leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Fredrick misses with an elbow over the top.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fredrick looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Venczel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Venczel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Fredrick takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Venczel's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
