Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Sanders has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rashad Patrick's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rashad Patrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dante Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders avoids the head kick by Patrick.

Sanders closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Patrick's guard.

Patrick is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Sanders is trying to trip Patrick. He has hold of a leg but Patrick is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sanders persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Sanders tries to stand but Patrick is controlling from the bottom.
Patrick lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Patrick postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Patrick gets to his feet. Sanders looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Patrick throws a sloppy head kick and Sanders moves out of range easily.
Patrick shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanders sprawls well. He's pushed Patrick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Patrick throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Sanders is trying to get an arm triangle but Patrick is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Patrick is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Sanders. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Sanders is trying to break free.
Patrick struggling to land strikes to the head as Sanders covers up.
Sanders covering up well under a series of strikes from Patrick.
Patrick misses with punches from the back.
Sanders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Patrick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Patrick has Sanders flattened out and is raining down punches.
Sanders trying to control the hands but Patrick won't let him.

You can see the frustration on Sanders's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Sanders just looking to survive in the bad position.
Sanders tries to escape the position.
Sanders looks winded!
Sanders is still trying to improve position.
Patrick is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Sanders covering up well under a series of strikes from Patrick.
Even with his hooks in, Patrick manages to miss with strikes from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Patrick counters with a stiff right hand.
Sanders fails to land the takedown.
Sanders is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sanders shoots in for a double leg but Patrick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sanders has a takedown stuffed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Patrick has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sanders off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Sanders closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Patrick sneaks out the side door and pushes Sanders away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Patrick throws a head kick but Sanders moves out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Patrick.
Sanders avoids the head kick by Patrick.
Patrick throws a head kick that misses.
Sanders shoots in but no luck this time.
Sanders tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Patrick defends well and Sanders ends up having to push Patrick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dante Sanders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanders tries to sprawl out of it but Patrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanders manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Patrick gets tackled into the cage by Sanders. Sanders maintains the clinch.

Patrick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanders misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Patrick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanders is defended easily by Patrick.
As Sanders looks to move away, Patrick throws a big counter combo bu Sanders just gets out of the way.

Patrick misses with a double jab.
Sanders shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patrick as he jumps to the side.
Patrick attempts a counter takedown but Sanders avoids it well and moves away.
Sanders takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Patrick feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sanders's calf.
Sanders shoots in looking for a takedown but Patrick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanders's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Patrick throws a head kick that Sanders semi-blocks.
Sanders shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Patrick sizes up Sanders with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Patrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanders tries to sprawl out of it but Patrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanders manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sanders drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Patrick pushes Sanders off and gets back to his feet.

Sanders closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Patrick quickly recovers to half guard.

Patrick displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanders.

Sanders takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sanders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Patrick pinned against the cage. Patrick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Patrick lands a jab-cross combination.
Sanders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patrick throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sanders let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Patrick scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Patrick takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Patrick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nice takedown defense from Patrick. No joy for Sanders on that attempt.
Rashad Patrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Sanders.

And Sanders tries to counter it with a takedown but Patrick pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Patrick connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Patrick throws a hook but Sanders avoids it easily.
Sanders appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

and Patrick counters by clinching up.

Patrick is trying to force a seperation but Sanders has the dominant position.
Patrick wants a takedown but no success here.

Patrick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sanders can't fight it off and eventually Patrick manages to take the fight to the floor. Sanders looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sanders is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Patrick defends well.

Sanders wants to sweep but no luck.
Patrick controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Patrick decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Rashad Patrick showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Patrick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
