Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ariel Piechocki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Kazama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ariel Piechocki! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazama fails to land the takedown. Piechocki scores with a jab. Kazama acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kazama misses with a takedown and Piechocki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kazama doesn't succeed with the takedown and Piechocki counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Kazama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kazama has a takedown stuffed. Piechocki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Piechocki. No joy for Kazama on that attempt. Piechocki stalks Kazama and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kazama's face. Kazama staggers backwards, shaken. Piechocki shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kazama eats them both and turns towards Piechocki to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kazama is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kazama gets a takedown into half guard. Oh Kazama is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Piechocki is trying to stand.

Kazama is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Piechocki sees it coming and defends easily. Kazama is trying to work for a kimura but Piechocki is defending well.

Kazama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piechocki controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Piechocki can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama is looking for a kimura but Piechocki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kazama to get the leverage. A close round but Ariel Piechocki will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Piechocki's coach down at Sentinel Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Piechocki's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Piechocki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kazama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Piechocki's waist but Piechocki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kazama off to one side. Kazama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Piechocki pinned against the cage. Piechocki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kazama has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Piechocki punishes Kazama's body with a nice straight punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kazama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Piechocki avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Kazama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Piechocki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazama stands and throws Piechocki's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kazama is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Piechocki is trying to escape and Kazama transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Piechocki is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kazama! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jin Kazama! After the fight, Jin Kazama was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
