PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Smitty Striltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Brush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brush's choice of entrance music: GOAT !!!. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Striltz.
Brush throws a right and a left that both miss.
Striltz throws a head kick that misses.
Brush misses with a series of wild punches.
Striltz goes for a double leg but Brush avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brush continues to drive forward.
Striltz closes the distance but Brush moves to the side
and Brush counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Striltz thuds his right hand into Brush's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Striltz misses with a few strikes there.
Brush lands a jab-cross combination.
Brush paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brush slips a jab and a cross from Striltz.
Brush's corner calls for a 1-2. Brush obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Brush will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Striltz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brush ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Striltz throws the kick towards the body but Brush avoids it.
Striltz misses with a left hand
and Brush counters with a nice body shot.
Brush throws a series of strikes that have Striltz backpedaling.
Brush misses with the combination.
Brush walks into a stiff left hand from Striltz.
Brush takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Guy Brush has been cut.
Brush shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Striltz eats them both and turns towards Brush to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Striltz throws a head kick but Brush moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Donk. Brush catches Striltz right on the button with a cross.
Striltz throws a series of punches but Brush avoids them all with ease.

Striltz is rocked!
Striltz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brush makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oh Striltz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Striltz is breathing heavily.
Brush lands a jab to Striltz's midsection.
Striltz seems to have got his legs back now.
Brush feints a jab promting Striltz to slip. Brush then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Striltz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brush feints with a jab and clips Striltz right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Striltz is sent crashing into the canvas and Brush leaps in for the kill! Striltz tries to get to his feet but Brush is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Striltz is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guy Brush!
